Visited Bower Ashton library to do further research into onomatopoeia.

Onomatopoeia - creating a visual representation of a sound

Comic books: seem to be often used for loud sounds (during fight scenes, for emphasis and drama)

- Try and explore other sounds (quiet sounds, long sounds, etc.)

- Think about how to indicate a change in tone or pitch (upward diagonal, along a wavy line, characters getting bigger/smaller)

Roy Lichtenstein:

- Pop art influence - colour; fun, bold typography; shapes

CRAK! (1963/64 Roy Lichtenstein)
